Marissa Geraci

About 6 years ago I was sitting at my desk at a large, corporate America investment firm. I was miserable and felt myself dying a little bit each day in that cubicle. I knew that I wanted to make a change, and I even knew what I wanted that change to be. But it seemed really scary and basically impossible. I had a good friend who told me I owed it to myself to at least try. So I did. One very small step at a time.

Now I'm a licensed therapist who still doesn't have it all figured out, but I'm a lot happier. I want to share what I've learned both on my own journey, and on the ongoing journey to help my clients. I strongly encourage adventure as a non-pharmaceutical prescription for things like anxiety, depression, and stress. Your adventure could be taking a leap of faith and starting a new career, exploring a new city, or walking into a yoga class for the first time.

Adventure awaits... Be Curious Be Passionate Be Brave - Marissa

Convince Me

If you've ever seen The Usual Suspects  you know that one of the best lines of the movie is when Agent Kujan stares down Verbal Kint, not believing his convoluted story of crime and murder and just says, "convince me..."  The type of guy I'm looking for is not an online-dater.  He's just not.  If he's sitting at home in front of his computer at night, he's trying to decide whether to choose Michael Vick or Joe Flacco as h...
